One of three course and distance winners in this race, this 9yo has managed two wins here from just three runs. Best performance for a while when 3rd of six last time out at Newcastle – could be at the sharp end again if he can build on that performance.
A WAR EAGLE – 15:22 Beverly – 11/1* EW 3pl
This class-dropping course and distance winner has been a progressive type in his nine career runs so far, reappearance last time out excused after a long break. That was in a Class 2 in which he was well beaten but dropping two classes back down to Class 4 company here should be more to his liking.
TEES GEORGE – 16:22 Beverly – 6/1* EW 3pl
The two runs this season have been very encouraging, including last time out when 4th of a large 22-runner field at Doncaster. Just the one win on turf from fifteen attempts but that did come over course and distance, if further progress is found he could kick on this season, perhaps starting here.
COOLREE – 16:52 Beverly – 7/1* EW 3pl
First time in Class 6 company over course and distance here, where he has scored before, makes for interesting claims as the two runs for his new yard have been disappointing but as a result has dropped off in the weights and looks to be going off a generous mark considering the class he has shown in the past.
