All-weather strike rate sits at a respectable 14% for this previous course and distance winner who has fallen to a handy looking mark after two underwhelming performances. The visor has been re-equipped, which was in use during his most recent win at Kempton. HIs mount is in good form, with a strike rate of 20% over the past 14 days.
NEWFANGLED – 18:30 Wolverhampton – 10/1* EW 3pl
Ran well enough after exactly half a year off the track two weeks ago at Lingfield, and this previous course and distance winner should come on for that run. A winner on turf and the all-weather last season and will be looking to properly kickstart this campaign after a run to dust off the cobwebs. We may be low on the official ratings in this field but this price still seems a little too big.
BASHOLO – 20:30 Wolverhampton – 20/1* EW 3pl
Currently the biggest price runner in the field, but the end of last year saw two wins from her final three runs, both coming over this course and distance. Familiar with both Class 5 and Class 6 company, but she is definitely more competitive in the latter which she will face here. Hasn’t quite lived up to the end of last year form so far in 2026, but as a result has slipped in the weights and is now 2lbs lower than her last win here.
