The Cheltenham Festiva, is the biggest week in the National Hunt racing calendar, where the best horses, trainers and jockeys come together across four days of top class racing. While every race has its own story, history often leaves clues about the type of horse most likely to succeed, statistically at least. In this article, I analyse the last ten editions (where possible) of each race at the festival to identify key trends, and compare these trends to this year’s entries.
