Still yet to score on the all-weather after 17 attempts but has racked up over £180,000 in prize money on the turf over his career so there is clearly ability there. Went well last time out around here when 3rd of 9 at 6/1. Drop back in drip this time around, going off 1lb lighter than that run here last month and application of a visor could see him run another big race.
EVES BOY – 19:00 Southwell – 9/1* EW
Just the one win so far as a 2-year-old back in September 2024, and despite finishing last of 7 last time out at Newcastle was just 2.5 lengths off the winner, after being denied a clear run in a very tight race. That was in class 4 company, this time he drops back down into class 5 company and looks to be operating off of a real handy mark here. Has already shortened from 14/1 when odds were released earlier this afternoon, but there is enough to suggest there could be even more value in this one.
ASIAN JOURNEY – 19:30 Southwell – 11/1* EW
Yet to score after 8 races under his belt, but as a result has been steadily dropping in the weights and the application of a tongue strap seemed to help last time out when 3rd of 12 over C&D when 14/1. 1lb lower than that effort and the headgear is retained, so another performance like that could well see a first time appearance in the winners enclosure.
