JOLIE BAIE – 14:22 Warwick – 16/1* EW
Most of her runs (and all of her successes) have come from distances under 3m, however her last two runs in races with a distance over 3m she has finished 3rd and 2nd at Wincanton and Huntingdon respectively, so the step back up in trip alone is not enough of a reason for the market price being as big as it currently is. Has slid down the handicaps this season since having wind surgery, and now goes off at what would appear a generous mark. She is also currently striking at over 23% over hurdles, which is certainly impressive.
FORTUNEFAVORSBOLD – 15:13 Uttoxeter – 8/1* EW
This mare has been a very consistent performer in 2025, and despite no victory she has only finished off the podium once in seven attempts. The first run out of this season was also encouraging, when finishing 2nd of 6 when 13/2 over this course and distance. Both jockey and trainer have been in good form over the past 14 days, and with four places available in the market 8/1 appears a value each-way play here.
LAZZAR – 15:30 Lingfield – 7/2*
An unusual shorty here, but this 3-year-old handsomely broke his maiden last time out over this course and distance under the great Ryan Moore, and will be looking to kick on here. Back in a handicap race this time around so will have the weight to deal with as a result of that win in November, and this race does look more of a challenge than that aforementioned but if he can continue to improve he will have likely too much. Would be surprised if he doesn’t go off as the favourite.
