PARLIAMO – 14:45 Bangor-on-Dee – 6/1* EW 3pl
This is an interesting one, handicap debut here and also the furthest trip he will have faced in his career so far. That being said he was 13 lengths behind two rapid improvers last time out when 4th of 7 at 10/1, and as a result may have been slightly overlooked by the handicapper due to that distance of defeat. Two progressive runs so far this year and if he can continue to find improvement he could be well within a chance here.
BUSTY BOY – 15:50 Bangor-on-Dee – 6/1* EW 3pl
A very consistent performer who has not finished outside the top three since 2024, but at the same time his one win under rules came all the way back in 2023. Perhaps unlucky to add to his tally last year, particular over this course and distance last October when 2nd of 7 at 10/1, missing out by less than a length. Perhaps champion jockey Sean Bowen is the missing ingredient and is a massive positive here. Should be there or thereabouts again.
BOOK OF SECRETS – 17:35 Newcastle – 12/1* 4pl
Uninspiring form so far in 2026, never better than midfield and carries top weight here, that being said is clear on ratings and does still look nicely handicapped thanks to this year’s poor performance. Apprentice jockey claiming a massive 10lbs may also prove crucial, rediscovering previous form is absolutely needed to stand a chance here but at this price it looks worth a shot.
HABRDI – 18:30 Wolverhampton – 11/2* EW 4pl
Course and distance winner just 18 days ago here, takes a step up in class this time around but certainly didn’t disgrace himself in Class 5 company last time out at Southwell when finishing 4th of 12 at 12/1. Going off the same mark here as that race at Southwell, a similar performance to that victory here 18 days ago and he will be right amongst it.
